Most brides think bridal registries, bedding, home décor, china, crystal, and silver when considering what they would like to receive from their friends and family at their bridal showers.
But a fun and unique gift idea would be to purchase a large piggy bank and ask guests to bring loose change to your shower and deposit into your piggy! Don”t be surprised though if you find that a few bills make it into your pig”s belly too.
I first ran across this idea when a friend suggested it for a baby shower, but it is not a new thought. Bridalshower.com suggests making it into a game of sorts; have guests pass the piggy bank around in a circle, each person saying a special wedding wish as they deposit their donation.
Remember to decorate your pig in the theme of your shower, or dress it up as a bride. You can also place it on the entrance table at your reception.
