Engraving rings has been a way to make wedding bands more intimate and personal for many years. If you choose to engrave your rings, you will need a few tips first. It may also be a good idea to review a few words of love to engrave on the rings.
The Knot has some good tips for knowing what to do and some ideas on working, and we will look at a few of them here.
When to do it.
The Knot says that you can have your rings engraved while you wait in some cases, but warns that it can also take up to a month. They suggest that you ask your jeweler and plan ahead.
What it costs.
Most likely, the cost will be based on the amount of characters you choose to put on the bands, the font that is used, and whether it is engraved by hand or machine. Machine engraving is cheaper, with an average of $25 for 15 characters, and, if done by hand, an average of $75 for 8 characters, the article says.
Words for engravement.
I love you
Love is eternal
Always and forever
All my love
I thee wed
To have and to hold
God for me provided thee
None but you
My beloved is mine and I am his
The one whom my heart loves
Never to part
